Channel (2018) is an audio-based installation created as part of Tunnel-2018. It features recordings of my parents sharing their family story—the migration of their parents around the Hohhot City area, their grandparents' experiences, and their childhood memories. These oral histories transit between generations and describe the family history period across the whole 20th century. Some audio content was edited, as certain narratives remain unspeakable or unsuitable for public sharing - parts of their stories had to be skipped or self-censored.
